Applications are now open for Burnaby’s Artist in Residence program.
Artists will have the opportunity to examine, create and refine their artistic practices in the tranquil and inspiring natural setting of Deer Lake Park.
Residencies are open to artists across multiple disciplines ” visual artists, performers, musicians, land-based practitioners, poets, writers, potters and more “. Residencies typically range from two to six weeks and include housing and/or studio use.
Shadbolt and Burnaby Art Gallery staff will provide support in creating artist-led community engagement projects relevant to residencies. These projects may include performances, public readings, artist talks, panel discussions or online engagements.
