Arts New West is thrilled to invite submissions from young Indigenous artists for our upcoming Welcome to My Renaissance Indigenous Youth Art Exhibition. This is a celebration of creativity, culture, and community, providing an opportunity to showcase the dynamic voices and stories of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis youth. The exhibition will take place inside Centennial Lodge in Queen’s Park New Westminster June 26-July 1, 2025.
This opportunity reflects Arts New West’s commitment to reconciliation by strengthening Indigenous cultural representation and creating opportunities for Indigenous artists. Relationship building is important and we hope to connect with participating artists and explore other opportunities to engage in Arts New West programming and partnerships with Native Art Renaissance Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Self Identify as Indigenous
- Artists must be between 12 and 35 years of age.
- All submitted artworks must be created after 2023.
- No experience necessary all skill levels welcome to apply
Accepted Art Forms
Artists working in any medium—including but not limited to 2D and 3D visual arts, Indigenous traditional arts, dance, music, spoken or written word, textiles, new media, and performance—are encouraged to apply

- Photography
- Drawing
- Sculpture
- Textile

How to Submit
- Submit your artwork in jpeg format via email to programs@artsnewwest.ca.
- Use the subject line: Arts New West Indigenous Youth Art Show
- Include a short bio in the body of the email
- Include your email, website and social media if applicable
- Artists may submit up to three pieces
Deadline for Submissions
The submission deadline is May 1, 2024 (artwork to be delivered by June 1, 2025)
