Arts Council of New Westminster pleased to share results of giving during May 5 global #GivingTuesdayNow
Dear friend of the Arts Council of New Westminster,
On April 26th, we sent out a request for your support to help us make it through these challenging circumstances.
The landscape is rapidly changing and it is difficult to predict exactly what we will need. But like so many others, we are facing a significant loss of income. Our goal is to raise $35,000 by July 1st. We were thrilled to see over $2,000 come in through Giving Tuesday on May 5th.
You may have heard that events over fifty people will not be taking place this Summer. This means that the ACNW will be developing new programming that we present artists through digital platforms and online offerings. Our efforts are focused on how we can develop those to ensure the arts connect to the daily lives of us in New Westminster.
We are on our way towards $35,000 and are overwhelmed with our community support. Your generosity confirms that you also agree the arts are essential to our community.
We are doing our best to provide service and keep supporting artists in these very uncertain times, and your gift will help us through this out together. We couldn’t have done it without you.
