Exhibition Statement

“Colored Strokes” by Ania Salmina and Gayatri Yelegaonkar comes to the Anvil Center.

“Coloured Strokes exhibition includes a variety of topics but is made in a colourful almost impressionist technique. This exhibition shows the moment of an artists’ feelings at certain hours of life.

What is unique about the arts is that this exact artwork could only be painted at this time and place. Any minute change means other colour combinations or a stroke wave. It gives an absolutely different perspective for the final piece. The colours and strokes are capturing the moment. But instead of showing the moment of the subject, the art is more focused on a moment inside an artists’ vision. In an era of mass production, it is a luxury that there are no two same art pieces that exist.” ~ Ania Salmina & Gayatri Yelegaonkar
