Artists explore the complexities of the human form in As You Are at The Gallery at Queen’s Park

New Westminster, British Columbia – July 26, 2016 – Starting August 3, 2016, The Gallery at Queen’s Park will be hosting, As You Are, a new exhibition featuring artists Cara Bain and Gillian Wright. The show runs until August 28. Both artists foster a passion for creating art based from human faces and expression. Creating genuine human connection through an exploration of the human body is the central theme of this show.

“This body of work explores the idea that every person is a creation that overflows with endless depth and beauty,” says Bain. “Rather than projecting onto my subjects a heady and complex concept of my own creation, my aim is to capture something about the identity or expression of each individual in a given moment.”

In addition to the New West Cultural Crawl weekend, Bain and Wright will be at The Gallery at Queen’s Park every Saturday and Sunday to meet with visitors and discuss their work.
