CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS: ANVIL CENTRE COMMUNITY ART GALLERY
DEADLINE: January 23, 2020
The Community Art Gallery, located on the 3rd floor of Anvil Centre, supports local artists through exhibition opportunities in order to stimulate creative dialogue, connect artists with the community and showcase the diverse range of creative expression that exists in New Westminster.
The Gallery is currently accepting proposals from artist teams or arts collectives for the 2020 exhibition schedule. This opportunity is open to groups of 3 or more New Westminster artists who reside or have a studio practice in the City and work in two-dimensional media. Indigenous artists, emerging artists and other artists who have not participated in the past are encouraged to submit proposals.
Exhibitions are two (2) months in duration. There are opportunities for outreach programs such as artist talks or workshops during the exhibition period. Anvil Centre will also host an opening/artist reception for each exhibition.
Please send submissions via email by January 23, 2020, 4pm.
- Names and contact information for all artists (please identify a main contact)
- 3-5 JPEG or PDF images of proposed artworks by each artist

Please note that the proposed work submission must not have been exhibited in New Westminster in the preceding 12 months, nor (upon acceptance) be displayed in any other New Westminster gallery during the exhibition year.
