Call for Makers: New West Craft Indigenous Market


Join Arts New West for a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture and creativity at our 3rd Annual New West Craft Indigenous Market, presented by Shop First Nations and Arts New West. 

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, with an expanded lineup of talented performances and vendors showcasing their exceptional creations.

Applications are open until April 1, 2024.

  • Please note, this application does not guarantee a vendor spot at the 2024 New West Craft Indigenous Market. 
  • All applications will be reviewed. 
  • Successful applications will be contacted by email no later than April 15, 2024.

Market Details

  • Saturday June 8, 2024
  • Time: 11am to 5pm

Location:

  • New West Quay 
  • On the boardwalk in front of River Market (810 Quayside Drive)
  • This is an outdoor event

The Details:

  • Applicants must be of Indigenous ancestry (First Nation, Metis, Inuit)
  • Vendors are required to bring their own tent and table
  • There is no fee to participate (we will be requesting vendors give a small gift or cash donation valued between $10 and $20 to be presented to Elders, performers and speakers. More details will be provided to accepted vendors) 
  • THERE IS NO TABLE SHARING. Collectives are not permitted at this time, artists must apply individually 
  • All applications will be reviewed by our Selection Committee (5-6 local Indigenous artists, business owners and community members)
  • An Elder will be on site during the event between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
