The Arts Council of New Westminster is seeking submissions from performing artists and cultural groups for an inaugural Anvil Centre Winter Arts Program, taking place December 18-29, 2018.
The program is a multicultural celebration of the winter season and the approaching new year.
We are looking for locally-based community arts and cultural groups to present performances and demonstrations of all kinds, such as: music, poetry, fashion, storytelling, dance, etc. It is a sharing of community arts to accompany a larger arts program.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Applicability of the presentation for a community event
- Viability of proposal
- Diversity of tradition or form shared
Applicants should provide the following information as part of their proposal for consideration:
- Description of experience in sharing similar presentations in the community
- List of how many performers are involved
- Detailed description of the presentation proposed
- Estimated length of presentation
- Equipment needed for presentation
Deadline: Please submit your proposal by October 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
Following that time, proposals will be reviewed and selected participants will be contacted to schedule their participation.
