The Arts Council presents the exhibition by Artist Ronald George Straight

Ron is a First Nations artist. His works as a commercial artist reflects his view of the natural world in a unique way. Influenced by his heritage and upbringing, his paintings merge the real and the imagined by using digital and illustrative elements. Ron was raised on the prairies and now lives in Surrey, BC affording him a wide range of inspiration for his paintings.
Artist Statement: I have been painting since 2006 and have a variety of interests that I think show in my paintings. I’m still experimenting with techniques.
Current interests, other than my art, is photography, curling, golf, fastball… sports in general.
