New West Artists have an open call inviting visual artists to participate in a Dialogue on Death and Dying.
This is part of an exhibition in partnership with Century House, the exhibition to be held from October 30th to November 30th, 2024.
Artists must be from the New Westminster or Burnaby area. This is a juried exhibition.
“This is a part of life that we may not be used to exploring or presenting in public. Death and dying have been taboo, hushed, and too private.” Artist statements will be placed with each piece to facilitate dialogue even when the artist is not present. An Artist Statement must accompany each entry. Use up to 250 words to provide a background for the creation. Describe the emotions, the ideas and the symbolism, if any.
