Green Ideas Network and the New Westminster Environmental Partners are presenting the 2nd Annual New West Doc Fest on Oct. 19 & 20, 2012 at Douglas College.
The objectives of the Festival is to “Educate and Inspire to Affect Great Change in Our Society”.
Theatre-goers can enjoy a wide range of intriguing award-winning documentaries which focus on environmental and social justice issues relevant to current events here at home, nationally or globally. Promoting public awareness and education through film is a brilliant way to encourage dialogue and positively influence great change in our society.
The feature documentary is “Chasing Ice”, an incredible documentary filmed through the lens of a photographer who ventures to the Northern Hemisphere to measure the receding glaciers and witness first-hand the implications of global warming.
