Throughout the year, Arts New West organizes ArtsToGo programming. These free all-ages art workshops are held at various venues throughout the City of New Westminster, inviting members of the community to take part in creating art and participate in associated events.
Join Arts New West as an ArtsToGo Workshop Assistant and play a vital role in bringing free all-ages art workshops to the City of New Westminster!
Program Overview:
- Various times and places throughout the Year
- We often host workshops at civic events such as Canada Day, Remembrance Day, Family Day, Easter and more!
- Monthly workshops at Royal City Centre and The Gallery at Queen’s Park
What to Expect:
- Work with local artists and engage with the community through creative hands-on workshops
- ArtsToGo is a series of free art workshops organized by Arts New West, held at various venues throughout the city.
- These workshops invite members of the community to unleash their creativity and participate in hands-on art activities.
- From painting and sculpting to collage and mixed media, ArtsToGo offers a diverse range of artistic experiences for people of all ages.

Volunteer Opportunities:
- As an ArtsToGo Workshop Assistant, you will provide support to the ArtsToGo instructors during workshops.
- Assisting with setting up and organizing art materials before workshops.
- Providing guidance and support to workshop participants as they create their artwork.
- Assisting the instructor in demonstrating techniques and offering creative suggestions.
- Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Assisting with cleanup and tidying up after workshops.
