Exhibition Install Team

Are you interested in being a part of a fun team and gaining hands-on experience in installing an art exhibition? Arts New West is seeking dedicated volunteers to join us as Exhibition Installers at The Gallery at Queen’s Park and Anvil Centre Community Art Gallery.

Volunteer Schedule:

  • A commitment of 2 days per month (minimum 2-4 hour shifts per day)
  • Typically The Gallery at Queen’s Park installs are on Sunday evenings, and Anvil Community Gallery installs take place on Friday mornings

Why Volunteer?

  • Gain valuable experience in preparing and installing Art Gallery exhibitions.
  • Contribute to and engage with the New Westminster Arts community.
  • Connect with like-minded individuals and expand your network within the arts community.
  • Receive a reference letter after completing 50 hours of volunteering.
  • Attend an annual volunteer appreciation event hosted by Arts New West

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • As an Installation volunteer, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of gallery exhibitions.
  • Assisting with the installation and take-down of gallery exhibitions
  • Supporting the production of labels and didactic materials for public display
